Planning4Broadmeadows Privacy Statement

You can use most parts of this website without providing any personal information. Any personal information you choose to provide will be handled in accordance with this privacy statement.

The personal information submitted by you on this website is collected by the Department of Planning & Community Development (DPCD) for the general purpose of administering and conducting public consultation on the Broadmeadows Structure plan.   More specifically, the information will be used for the following purposes:

  • Contact us: if you chose to provide your name and contact details to us (including address, phone number and/or email address) for the purposes of contacting us, making comments, or asking questions through the ‘Contact’ page on the website, that information will only be used for the purposes of responding to you or for any purpose expressed or implied by your correspondence with us and will not be used for any other purpose without your consent;
  • Signup for updates: to receive updates on the process, you can submit your email address through the signup function that appears at the bottom of all pages on this website. We will only use your address for this purpose and will not make your email address publicly available;
  • Completing the survey: The online survey may be completed anonymously, or you have the option of providing your name, email address and phone number so that we can provide you with updates connected to the survey and/or the consultation process. We may also use these details to clarify your response. If you choose not to provide any personal information, this will not affect our consideration of your response. Personal information will not be made publicly available and any responses that are quoted in publicly available documents will appear as anonymous quotations;
  • Participating in the online forum: if you choose to use the online forum to post comments or other content (Submitted Content), these comments will appear online at this website subject to moderation under our Online Forum Guidelines.  To participate in the online forum, you will need to create a username. Only your user name will appear online in connection with your Submitted Content. Your submitted content may  be quoted in other publicly available documents related to Planning4Broadmeadows but will appear as anonymous quotations;
  • Consultation Report and other documentation: the information that you provide through this website may be used by DPCD to help finalise the Structure Plan for Broadmeadows and to assess the consultation process. A Consultation Report will be prepared by Capire Consulting. The Consultation Report may be made publicly available and may contain anonymous quotations of information submitted by you. If you do not want anonymous quotations from your submission to be made publicly available, you may request this by calling the Broadmeadows Activities Area Project Team on (03) 9205 2200. Please state the reasons for your request as non-publication of your submission will only be granted in special circumstances. There is no obligation upon DPCD, its agencies and contractors to include in the Consulation Report or other document all or any of the information that you provide.

Your personal information may also be disclosed to:
• Hume City Council for the purposes of developing the Structure Plan and in accordance with this policy;
• AgentC Media, the organisation that assists with the creation, operation and maintenance of this website; and
• Capire Consulting, the organisation that is preparing the Consultation Report on behalf of DPCD.

We fully comply with the Spam Act 2003 and will never sell your email address or use it for spam. We will never sell your phone number or use it for spam.
